Cecelia Thomas was not sure this was exactly a great idea, but she was ready. She looked in the mirror, and she knew she looked good, but that was not the important thing. This was All Hallows Eve, Halloween parties abounded, but the one she was going to was very exclusive. WHY she was going was another story entirely, she was curious, and as she went down to meet her best friend Marilyn and her husband Winston, she ran through the reasons again why she should and should not go. She was totally bemused, but since Winston’s Bank had secured the tickets, and since it was for charity and they invited her to go along, Celia could hardly say no. Marilyn made a very sexy Alice, and Winston a really hunky White Rabbit, but that still left Celia cold. She had often wished for someone to heat up her nights, some one to love, a relationship like Marilyn and Winston had, but so far she had not found the one man who would do it for her, keep her interest let alone keep her company. Well, it was Halloween, and as they entered Devlin Wolfe’s mansion, the place exuded Halloween mystique, adventure, and gave the impression no expense had been spared for the charitable causes the tickets to the ball supported. As Celia was handed a number, she noted the seven. Hmmm…could it really be her lucky night?
There were times when a man had to reach out and take what he wants, and for Devlin Wolfe, the wealthiest man in town, Cecelia Thomas was going to be his by hook or by crook. He had tried a lot of different routes, and she appeared interested, but the shy science teacher just wasn’t biting. Well, since his alter ego Jack Howell, the assistant Coach couldn’t reel her in, maybe there was another way. By hook or by crook, and to that end, he had made sure Winston, his best friend since childhood, had the three tickets. Winston and Marilyn could convince Celia to attend the party at his home, Le Maison des Loups. The huge Georgian Mansion sat on the hilltop, and was open tonight for the Halloween Ball. With her presence assured, there was only the stage to set, the fix to be put in, then he waited like a spider for his fly. When Celia decided to pay along with Captain Rolf, Devlin was certain he had her, but keeping her might be a bit tricky. The only thing was, now he had to convince his captured Kitten that he is the only man for her, then, his life will be happily complete…
From the depths of her Halloween Fantasies, Celia Thomas is about to find out that things may not always be what they seem, and although she is NOT Alice, she is about to head into wonderland. It is a wonderland where she might just find the love she has been wanting, craving, and desiring. It could also be with someone totally unexpected, and that would suit Devlin Wolf just right.
