The void in his life is painful, but Joshua Kennedy is determined to live without DeMario Macklin if it is the last thing he does. Their time together was bitter sweet, the estrangement happening as the show they were touring with went on and on, and the stress got worse and worse. DeMar shut him out, and Josh was at a breaking point. DeMar was better off without him, so Josh left, packing the few belongings he had in the loft they’d shared and went home to New Jersey. It had been relatively easy since DeMar had gone to visit his sister in California, and Josh could just slip quietly away. He hadn’t wanted to hear from anyone, but the insistent ringing of the phone, then DeMar’s deep sexy voice on the line drew him into the house, and he had to pick up….
DeMario Mackin knew without a doubt that Josh would hang up on him if he called. He knew that his caller ID would give him away, but the ache he felt was too much, and the opportunity to star with Josh made the trip imperative. He knew he had hurt Josh somehow, but at the time he was confused, trying to be independent and not lean on anyone. He had pushed Josh and everyone away, and now he wondered if that wasn’t the biggest mistake in his life. DeMar missed Josh, came back early when his company director called him because he couldn’t reach Josh, and neither could any of the others. Calling him from a payphone at the airport was a last resort, his best chance, and one he really didn’t think Josh could or would turn down. At least DeMar hoped that would be true, and bet his future happiness on that one simple fact. He really didn’t want to lose the best thing and the one true love in his life.
J. M. Snyder strikes again with a divine short called Maybe, about love, misunderstandings, and the trials of true love. Man to man, Josh and DeMar are a matched set, but DeMar has issues, and has pushed Josh away. Not knowing hurts Josh, and he deals with it the only way he knows how, he leaves. Now Demar is back in his life, and Josh is full of uncertainties. Can they work things out or will it all end finally and with a huge disaster? Maybe is just chocked full of everything that makes a J. M. Snyder book so memorable. Her characters are fresh, irresistible, and vulnerable to each other. Handsome men, each with their own set of insecurities that leaves them questioning themselves, and making the reader wonder if it will all work out in the end. I can say truly that Maybe will not disappoint, so look for it on her website now, or coming in October 2009 to eXcessica Publictions. Dive into Ms Snyder’s world of love and luscious men and enjoy!
