There are times when a girl just has to realize what’s up, and for Cassie, the time has come in a rush. She is a true blue NFL fan, and her love of football has become somewhat of a challenge to her friends. Yup, Cassie won’t even answer the phone anymore during games because the odds are in her favour it will be a friend just trying to win the next bet of “will Cassie answer?” It was no small surprise when the phone rang, and a girl friend just wanted tips to snag the current “jock” in her life either, so the no answer policy was strictly enforced to avoid just such silliness. This day, The Fates have a treat in store for Cassie, one she isn’t expecting. The inevitable ringing phone interrupts her enjoyment of the Pittsburgh/Minnesota game. She knocks the phone off the hook, only to hear her best friend with perks, Steve, on the other end. Cassie’s all ready to give him all kinds of grief until she learns she‘s being invited to the Pittsburgh/Cleveland game on Christmas Eve. What started as a serious thrill was cools somewhat when she finds out he’s bringing his current flame, a rather nice but self-absorbed airhead named Mandy. Still, football is football, and The Fates have special things in store for Cassie, and a new life she is helpless to prevent.
Corby Teller is lonely, he just didn’t know it until the woman came barreling into his life. Oh yeah, she sent sparks where sparks had never gone before, and lit up his world in a show of multi-coloured lights. And what a mouth. She didn’t hesitate to say what she thought, be it good or bad. Considering Corby was the quarterback for the Browns, and she was gonna be rooting for the Steelers, her spicy comment about him getting his ass stomped made him laugh. When she apologized, and actually used his name, Corby knew she was a true football fan, a rare find in a woman. She was pretty and sexy as well, and Corby decides here is a woman worth his while Ultimately, he is a typical take charge guy, and herds her off to his private box, with promises to have her friends intercepted to join her there as well. When all is said and done, there is only one thing on his mind, and that is making Cassie his. No one, not his team, his dad, her friends, or any ideas she has will stop him. The fact his dad likes her is a huge plus, and so his plans are set, and The Fates, they are ready to sit back and watch the show.
A Christmas to Remember by Destiny Blaine is a treat for those of you who enjoy a quick read, and a wonderful story. This 64 page quick read is the first person account of how Cassie met Corby, the problems, the trials, and the friendships that surround them. It is the story of love, and it is a story telling the tale of a woman caught between two lovers. Two men love Cassie, each in their own way are devoted to her, need her, and the hard choices she must make. A Christmas to Remember is available now, and although it is past the Christmas Season now, like many romantic “Christmas Stories,” its themes are timeless, romantic, and make delightful reading. It is sexy, fun, happy, sad, and altogether a very delightful romp and I suggest you go get a copy of A Christmas to Remember from Mardi Gras Publishing to find out how it all comes to pass for Cassie, Corby, and Steve!!
Yours in good reading,
Rose!
