What could get worse for Tracie Hill? It was a day where she should have stayed in bed. After having a lavish breakfast to celebrate the retirement of her boss, Jerome Mullins, as he and his wife flew off to the Caribbean, everything seemed to go downhill. Jerome had been one savvy business man and had built his Financial Resources into a great company, but now he was gone, and a new boss was about to enter the domain. J.P. Montgomery would now be the new head CEO. That was a bit of news Tracie was not looking forward to, having a new leader, whom she had heard was a high-class tyrant. Then there was part of the day where she and her rotten boyfriend, Rex Foster, had ended their relationship. She just wanted to go home and enjoy what was left of the day, but her car was still being serviced, so that meant calling a cab, and now she noticed there was a huge hole in her pantyhose. When a handsome man comes in asking for Jerome, Tracie informs he has permanently retired and she is getting ready to lock up the office. But Mr. Handsome wants to take her out for a drink. Tracie only wishes to get home but the man is insistent admiring how she is not wearing any pantyhose, even noticing that she has tossed them in the trash. As Tracie informs again, they must leave, there is a click and the power goes out which prompts the locks to not work, trapping them inside the office alone.
Pete enters the office and gets a glimpse of Tracie removing her pantyhose. He enjoys her performance and would love to get a command repeat but his words only infuriate Tracie. Pete really likes the sexy woman standing near him. When they are trapped in the office, he is thrilled for the power outage.
Tracie feels simmering heat being in such close range to the man, who only wishes to be known as Pete. He has an incredible magic grin that is like a heated torch fanning her body. The moment they are caught in an embrace, and he uses the stroking of his tongue and lips on her, her body ignites. Pete insists she get rid of her clothes because there are just too many barriers. Tracie feels the scorching burns and gives into the temptation. After spending one night in a heated passion, Tracie knew, by the next morning, they would go their separate ways, no obligations, nothing. It didn’t matter because for now she was delving in all the fantasies that she had dreamed with her handsome Pete. Once morning arrives, Tracie learns that the morning after, is quite different than what she dreamed and Pete is more than delighted.
Call Me Pete is a great read from the start. I was drawn into the characters of Tracie, as the poor dear was having such a bad day. She was believable in all her actions. I could see her emotions in many ways and found her someone that many could associate with in their everyday life. The conversation between Tracie and Pete keeps the readers attention while making this an entertaining read. Ms. Holt pens a great story, with a delightful plot that simmers slowly then explodes with scorching passion. Their chemistry is so consuming it practically jumps from the pages. The ending was splendid in this wonderfully created read and I look forward to more of her fantastic works. Check it out at Triskelion Publishing, where the characters will immediately pull you in to the story.
Sincerely good reading,
Linda
