Michael Shen was definitely not expecting what he found in the American woman he was to escort to and from the factory, functions, and sight-seeing. She was strong, independent, and treated him as an equal, and amazingly, it even reached into her personal relationships, too. Where she came from and where she was heading was not a question in his mind because he just knew she was going up. If anyone could make it in the world to a position of power, this woman most assuredly would, and much to his disgruntlement, he found himself wanting to be by her side as they climbed the corporate ladder together. But there were some stumbling blocks in the way here, and Michael didn’t think they could be overcome. There was not even any sense in speculations for she would be going back to the US, and Michael would be staying behind. He was determined, however, to make the best of what he had for now, and let the future take care of itself. After all, he was a pragmatist, and he was going to get himself into trouble, or his heart broken again. After his last experience, he was in no hurry to commit himself to another woman the way he had to Lilly, or was he?
Dana Littlejohn hits the mark again with her short Asian Spice. Taniea Onyx is a tough but feminine corporate executive, destined for great things. Tired of all the playing, and just dumped by a chauvinistic idiot who was threatened by her success, she was completely bowled over when she was passed up for one promotion, only to be given an even greater opportunity by her boss. Being recognized that way made up for a lot, and the trip to China for training, and a hot affaire with her most desirable host and liaison really was a boost to her spirits. Michael Shen was a great lover, tender, compassionate, demanding her best but treating her as an equal. Neither Taniea nor Michael had experienced such a give and take before, and it was a great and an unexpected bonus to Michael. Being used to having women around him who wanted to be taken care of instead of being equal partners was not on his list of things to get into. He’d been down that road before, the last time, the most painful and the most humiliating. Nope, he was not travelling that road again, but with Taniea, it was something else. Would they find a way to make things work? Will Taniea give up all to stay with Michael?
