Reese Torrin was a no holds barred fan, and he loved to see the Philadelphia Flames play when they were in town when he was home to go and see their games. His best friend plays on the team. Brock Forbes, the center, has been his best friend for a long time, and though their paths often too them on different tracks, they've stayed close, and Reese went to the games when ever he could. This is one of those times. He knows Brock is and has been under stress for quite a while, with his dad's illness just being diagnosed, and some hard decisions having been made, his play has suffered, and again tonight he is not at his best. Reese can't help himself as he yells to Brock to get it together, and to get his head into the game. What he didn't mean to do is upset the petite, curvy little fan sitting next to him. With his mind on the game, and his attention on his best friend and on another friend who sits beside him, Reese is in hockey heaven. Only when he gets a good look at the minx next to him does his attention wander. Of course, with Diana beside him, there is no getting away from a teasing, especially when she notices his distraction. Reese is grateful for Diana's friendship, and he is glad she accompanied him to the game. But as for the teasing, he can only sigh and figure that is what friends are for. Well, what can he expect when his attention is so divided.

Diana is one of his best friends. It started out differently, she was only a casual acquaintance, but they soon realized they had become a lot more important to each other than a casual relationship. There might be some regrets on both sides, but Reese liked her too much to take a chance on screwing up a wonderful friendship by indulging in no-strings-attached sex. Their shared relationship extended to both Alicia and Suzanne, the women so important to Derek and Garrett. The three were inseparable when Diana was in town, and it was a constant argument from Alicia as to when Diana was going to join her and Suzanne in Philadelphia. This trip, Diana has almost caved, but Reese has to chuckle at the resistance she puts against Alicia's arguments. He hopes she will join them, but it remains to be seen. His reaction to finding out the curvy minx is Brock Forbes' sister has still not worn off, a thing Diana finds most humorous. She has been teasing him about his attraction to Melody, and keeps telling him no to ignore his feelings. Diana says he loves Melody, but Reese is not one to believe in that particular four-letter word. Reese isn't sure of what he feels right now except for the fact Melody pulls his chains. Yeah, she is strong, talented, and confident, but in the bedroom she is ready to relinquish all control and that is mighty attractive to Reese. With Diana's admonitions about feelings ringing in his ears, and with the loneliness he feels when Melody is not around, he may just have to take a second look, at love?

She loved to see her brother play hockey, and it is with a heavy sense of guilt and foreboding she is at his hockey game tonight. Melody Forbes worries something would go wrong, and it is a feeling plaguing her through the game, and on to the after game bash as well. It is bad enough she almost got into it with Reese Torrin, Brock's best friend and the drummer for the Heavy Metal Band, Façade. She almost made a fool out of herself in front of his very beautiful and sexy lady too, and if anything, Melody didn't need to feel any worse than she did already. She is worried about leaving her father home with his best friend, Stanley. It is not that Stanley would deliberately let something happen to her dad, but the Alzheimer's he suffers from could cause potential problems, and it could be beyond Stanley's control. When she is notified of the accident at the after game bash, she is swamped with more guilt because she was right. Just a year or so ago, her father had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease, and although the early signs had been there, they thought nothing of it until his deterioration had become really noticeable. Now she finds herself with, and clinging to the very man she has sworn to stay away from, as they head to her father's side at the hospital.

Her now closer than close proximity to Reese is stirring feelings she is not sure she wants. He is supportive, caring, and has been trying to allay her fears, assuage her guilt, and keep an eye on her safety. Although he has seemingly been willing to take advantage of her susceptibility and vulnerability, he has admitted to being a self-involved playboy, there is something in his actions that give lie to the words. No manners is definitely an image, for at the odd moment, he has tried to comfort her, and has shown hints of being a gentleman. This is totally at odds with the carefully cultivated reputation he has, but Melody things that is the sham. now she fears Reese Torrin has a hold on her that she won't be able to shake, one only leading to the ultimate heartbreak. What she has to do is discover who Reese Torrin really is, what he is really all about, and then decide whether or not she can live with the truth. They say the truth can set you free, but with Reese, the truth may lead to her ultimate downfall. Melody knows she is walking a fine edge, she is just not sure what the edge belongs to anymore...

Tonya Ramagos has given us another pair of very realistic characters, and charged the atmosphere with an odd but mutual attraction between two people who love a hockey team, and are joined by friendship and relationship to the team center, Brock Forbes. Brock's sister Melody is angry at Reese for his fast and easy attitude, and she figures his womanizing ways are the basis for a well earned reputation. She feels it would be a mistake to even think of having any kind of relationship with Brock's best friend, not a wise move on her part. But as a lover, well in her mind that's completely OUT in capital letters. When events throw them together, Reese finds the girl he noticed is more than he bargained for - his best friend's sister. Melody finds in Reese the answer to feelings she would like to ignore. It is roller-coaster ride for them as they discover places they have never gone, or even wanted to go before, and together they must find their way through the maze. Only together can they make things right.

Rock Hard Seductions 3: Sports Beats is a passionate romp in love at first sight mistaken for just a case of simple lust, with a touch of domination and submission on the side. Reese can't seem to see beyond his own denial of feelings, and Melody can't see beyond her own prejudice about Reese's undeserved reputation. The only thing Melody sees with any clarity is her secret, she knows it will end any kind of long-term relationship she could hope to have with Reese. If she was unsure before, she is certain now. Rock Hard Seductions 3: Sports Beats is the third book in this fascinating series. Tonya brings you the pain of a diagnosis of Altzheimers on a family, the rocky road to a true love, and the hot steamy love scenes that blend the whole together in a poignant yet most delightfully hot and sexy way.
