Sidney Martin needs some excitement in her life, if only her father would allow her to get out and enjoy herself just once but he keeps her locked away like a caged bird. While in New Orleans, her friend, Jaclyn, urges her to live dangerously. Jaclyn doesn’t approve of the way Sidney’s father treats her. She suggests they head out and have a little night life fun. But Sidney never imagined the dreams that she had long remembered would quickly refresh in her mind when she was confronted with the enticing man of her visions again. Stefan Draegar wants to mate and the scent that escapes Sidney is powerful. When he sees her entering the bar, he is able to get a drift of her aroma which only leads him to finding her. Now Stefan will claim her and mark her as his, as he devours every inch of her.
Sidney is shocked that the man has followed her after all these years. She has to find a way to get rid of him, to remove him completely out of her life but the mind control he has on her only makes the dreams worse. He informs he will give her just three days and nothing more, then she will be completely his and if any man tries to touch her, he will kill him. When Mike Stan returns into Sidney’s life determined to grab hold of the one man that has such power over her, Sidney has no idea what fate awaits for her and Stefan. She sees the pure evil inside Mike that was with her father and she doesn’t like the look but now it may be too late to have any future with Stefan if Mike has his way. Now the battle is on to who will conquer who and actually make their mark on Sidney as his for life. Only time will tell if the two can finally satiate the compelling thirst after all these years of searching.
Shifter1: Stefan’s Mark emerges with hot intense sexual allure as Stefan sees someone he desires and will stop at nothing to have her in his arms. The sensual passion is sweltering and hot between Sidney and Stefan that it almost steams the pages. The dialogue is truly captivating with them and the tantalizing dreams and mind control really leaves depth to the story. Sidney is not a mousy figure either; she is one tough young woman. I liked the way she feared Stefan and wanted to flee from him but the other side of her was fascinated by his charms and wanted to surrender into his arms. With the addition of the well-rounded characters, including the siblings of Stefan that are laced in the read, the excitement only intensifies more as the plot thickens.
Jaden Sinclair has once again created a compelling read in Shifter 1: Stefan’s Mark from start to finish. She fashions a werewolf that breathes life in the pages while having deep feelings for one woman and no one will be able to take her place. The intrigue captivates the reader and spins them deep into the storyline making it a worth-while read. Ms. Sinclair has a way of sprinkling zest to her stories leaving the reader anxiously waiting for more. She gives her characters personalities that are really hard to release after the book is finished. I love her works, and this book is no exception. Bravo to Ms. Sinclair for igniting another fantasy and making it come to life.
