Christopher Bartholomew has spent his last 200 years on earth as a highly skilled immortal Defender. He is one of a great and noble race of Vampire like beings who protect the safety of humans and Eskarian’s alike. More powerful than humans Eskarians have highly attuned senses and abilities that contribute to their tough physiques and mental capabilities. It has been said time and time again that there has never been a more determined and fiercer Defender than Christopher. He hunts demon wolves and relieves them of their dark and evil souls by beheading and turning their bodies to a fiery ash. Not Christopher has known no other life save Defending and feels a little bereft now that the time has come to pass on Arden's Bow. But first he has to find and train someone worthy of the title he has held. Having spent much of his life in loneliness he is tired of all the hunting and wants to find his one true life's mate. His Benekada. After an encounter with an enchantress he is told that he will find her soon.

It is while hunting the dreaded Demon Wolves one night that Christopher stumbles across a horrifying yet all too familiar scene. He is too late to save the innocent victim and angrily watches as the demon feeds. Not being normal wolves the new strain is harder to kill as they are smarter and craftier. As Christopher prepares to take down the wolf, he spies a female who is unaware of the danger that is at hand. Without a doubt he knows that there is more to this woman than meets the eye. He is assailed with a myriad of emotions that throw him off kilter thereby affecting his killing accuracy. As yearnings that were long suppressed finally break free he finds himself and her standing on the brink of an impending disaster. Having saved the woman's life Christopher knows that she is his Benekada. He promises to protect her above all else and vows that no man would ever do her harm. Having recently found his true love Christopher is geared up to fight what could be the last battle for all of his kind.

Mackenzie Wallace has led an ordinary life as a veterinarian who plays softball in her free time. She enjoys the company of her roommate and likes it when she is in the arms of her boyfriend Daniel. Her over protective brother Sean is a bit stifling but his saving her from a wolf attack has made her appreciate him more. Having awoken one morning she remembers nothing of what transpired the night before. Mackenzie feels that there is something vile and dangerous living within her. An old and vicious evil that courses through the blood in her veins. She is comforted with the voice that whispers to her at night. The voice of her true life's mate. In one brutal and painful scenario Mackenzie’s life as she has known it is unexpectedly taken away from her. Her body is transformed into a carnivorously hungry and violent beast of darkness. Night after night she stalks her prey and rips the flesh from unsuspecting victims. She feels it is wrong and yet, she is helpless to stop the killing lust that runs rampant through her body. That is until he comes to take her life.

Knowing that the hunter that has finally caught up with her is the one that calls to her Mackenzie accepts her fate. If she is to die than she does so knowing he takes her life. She I unprepared for the strength of her feelings for him nor his attraction towards her. Christopher professes his feelings of undying love and promises his life to hers for eternity. Terrified of what Christopher is Mackenzie tries to run but finds herself falling under his hypnotic blue gaze. saved from a fate worse than death Mackenzie finds herself one of the Eskarians and cannot adjust to their ways of the blood. Not realizing the gift she holds she constantly pushes Christopher to the limits and fights for her prior and seemingly easy life. Unbeknownst to them both is the arrival of a powerful enemy who will soon take from Christopher all that he holds dear.

As the seventh and most deadly of the Dragon Prophecy’s begin to unfold, Christopher and Mackenzie work to stop an ancient evil. They must stop the seventh sign or the great sorcerer Uleah will arise once more and destroy all before him. As Mackenzie holds the key to his uprising Christopher keeps her in a sensually protective embrace that sets her passions ablaze. As the two fall deeper into the magic of their love they are hit with betrayals of lust and danger. Tyler Blackwood has set the world of humans and Eskarians to war with an evil that stands to possess it all. With the coming of the three all will be set into motion. Will it be too late for the future of the Human race? Or could this be the end to all Eskarian's?

The balance between good versus evil hangs by a thread as the Eskarians gather their forces to fight an ancient evil. The power behind Christopher and Mackenzie’s love will light the way to an elusive victory. Providing that Mackenzie can give Christopher that of which he has longed for. I discovered PROPHESY OF THE SEVENTH DRAGON to be a wholly engaging and all consuming romantically enriched read. With the werewolf against Vampire plot I knew the book would not let me down. Tyler Blackwood has created a beautiful world with strong and commanding warriors that keep us safe at night. Christopher's love for Mackenzie engulfed my heart with it's deep intensities and pure honesty. I watched attentively as their love blossomed and grew beyond the limits of any earthly expectations. I look forward to reading more about these mysterious yet dedicated Eskarian’s and hope more tales will be forthcoming. If you like hot and steamy sex with gorgeous alpha heroes to contend with, then I recommend reading PROPHESY OF THE SEVENTH DRAGON. Published by eXtasy books and available as of 2003, the book is a sensual delight that offers the reader a lot to sink their teeth into.

Yours in good reading,

Joann Ruffen
