Former Olympiad and gold medallist Kristen DuChien is the partial owner of the North Texas Panthers. A team founded by Brian Corrigan and her father Billy. A tough woman with an equally rock solid attitude she wants nothing more than to see her team succeed. Growing up the daughter of a legend she took to the ice as soon as she could walk. Playing the game with a talent and flair that was astounding for someone her age as well as for a female player. Having beaten a lot of the "boys" she knew her worth and therefore knew the value of her players. Her luck seemed to have run out when she met and married her husband who was also a former player. Unfortunately for Kristen, and everyone involved with the Panthers, her husband preyed upon the players and it costed them everything. Faced with hostility from the team she knew that it was up to her to bring the glory back to them.

Upon learning that Brian, wants to fold the Panthers Kristen is outraged. she knows that given the chance the team could make a full comeback. With already increasing sales she is confident in their abilities as well as in their performance as a strong unit. She knows that their current camaraderie is what keeps them afloat and doesn't want to lose that magic. Kristen decides to go to the one man with the power to make or break her beloved team. Brian Corrigan. She hopes to Rely on her past acquaintance with him when she asks him for a loan. she is surprised at his readiness to accept and do as she asks. then surprised at what he wants for collateral. In short, he wants her. As a sex slave or plaything but most of all as his wife in name only. He writes up a contract ensuring that she sticks to the terms. Once her Panthers go on to victory and win the cherished Emerald Cup they agree to have the marriage annulled. It is to be a union without "consummation". Or so they tell themselves.

Once a golden hockey player Brian Corrigan is now a powerful and embittered businessman. He partially owns The Panthers as well as a major league Hockey team the Dallas Blaze. He uses the minor league Panthers for their player power and not much else. He has no use for the team and even less need for the bad memories they possess. memories of a man he so hates that he longs to exact revenge on. Marty Pellin is dead due to a car crash. His widow Kristen is not. Once upon a time Brian tutored a young Kristen in the finer points of hockey. Together the two wiped up the locals on the ice. As time went on he developed feelings for her that he never acted on. He lost his chance when she marred Marty. A liability waiting to happen and the reason Brian's hockey career ended suddenly and tragically. Now he is a man consumed with getting his revenge on those he thinks deserves it.

Shrouded in rumors pertaining to his sexual proweress Brian makes Kristen an offer she can't afford to refuse. A business proposition of sorts that will provide her with what she needs to restore her teams image. In return he expects to have anything he desires from her sexually. A team player to a fault Kristen agrees to his terms. After all if not for her dead husband she wouldn't be in this dire situation in the first place. Brian wants her name attached to his on the hockey set. Being commonly referred to as Mr. and Mrs. Hockey he knows the publicity that will be stirred up. He also knows that said publicity will bring the fans back. His talented team the Dallas Blaze needs the crowd and he will do what it takes to get them there. Even if it means marrying the woman who sat back and watched while his dreams went up in smoke. As he sets out to engulf her in the pleasures and wickedness of steamy and lustful sex, Brian doesn't count on losing his heart in the bargain. But will conquering Kristen lessen his burning needs for revenge? Or will he fall prisoner to a passion of his own making?

Erica DeQuaya writes with a knowledge of hockey that is at times so engrossing it's as if I were watching the actual game. Kristen and Brian fall into a timeless dance of scandalous and exotic sex. While never being a prude Kristen is shocked to see the woman that Brian has managed to release. Could this carnivorous and sexually voracious woman really be her? The two engage in fiery hot unions of the flesh that both frighten and arouse them to new heights of uncontrollable lust. Each day their feelings of attraction toward each other blossom into something unfathomable. Could this be Love? Or just mind shattering sex in disguise. The road to romance isn't a very smooth one for Kristen and Brian. Steve Pellin, Marty's brother, is doing his part to make sure of this. He harbors a personal and deeply rooted hatred for Kristen that intensifies when she is near him. As Brian maintains his sexual mastery over Kristen he gets a surprise when she fights fire with fire. Who will be the one in control now? What will happen when Kristen learns of a betrayal so fierce in it's intent to rip her hopes for the Panthers to shreds?

With a truly wonderful cast of strong willed characters and some hot and hunky hockey players there is no wrong moves to be found here.
