Accepting his current assignment, he breaks the first rule. The actress’ snooty and rude behavior catches his attention, but her red-hair and full-figure detonates his lust.
Pestered by the hordes of people always around her, Madison Jordan does not regret the company of the new bodyguard. Everything about the man speaks of delicious carnal journeys while in his care. His referring to his job as “guarding her body” makes her hot!
Readers had better prepare for a fast-paced exhilarating story, drenched in sexual tension. Guarding Madison, a Wild Rose publication, is a short novella that dispenses a suspenseful tale with natural though stimulating characters. As the mystery surrounding the stalker’s motive and next target, Madison and Lucien both struggle to keep their rising sexual attraction under control; though being around each other constantly makes for a futile fight. Not even an overbearing mother, a yippy little dog, and hired help who know nothing about security distract Lucien’s attraction.
Ms. Gibson also aptly illustrates what women worry over most – weight. Eternally fighting to keep her figure at a lean size fourteen, Madison’s only indulgence is chocolate. With filming underway she cannot afford to gain weight, but her mother’s presence (read: disapproval) sends her running for the private stash in her closet. Lucien ingratiates himself to Madison, even to the reader, when he swiftly criticizes her mother’s tyrannical behavior, accusing the woman of “sponging off” her daughter’s success. Awwww…nothing like a man coming to a woman’s aid, while winning her mother’s approval, too.
Simmering embers of passion finally turn to raging flames. Lucien is out on his motorbike to cool his raging hormones. In the meantime, Madison takes off in her cook’s car, tired of being cooped up inside the house. At a local bar, she gets decidedly drunk, as Lucien watches from a booth. Of course this leads to a sultry night of pleasure between the two.
A simple mystery filled with sizzling romance, Guarding Madison is sure to captivate readers. Ms. Gibson has more romances published through Wild Rose Press: Her Snow Angel, Never Too Late For Love, The Magic of the Middle Elevator, and Rose Petals Volume 1 Anthology (His Son, Our Matchmaker). Although sweet, I bet they are full of carnal heat that builds to a thrilling, rousing story.
