When her mother died and her step father remarried, those new pups took over her lineage succession. But Ali’s most notable alienable difference was her white coat as it contrasted with the royal family’s predominately darker one. Clearly identifying and then cementing her place as an outsider. The ensuing isolation and abuse formed Ali’s distrust for anyone within her own pack. So becoming a hardhearted mercenary was easy, then mastering deception and killing became her trademark, though highly sought after, skill.
Feral Book 3: Hedonism is now only available as a compilation in an ebook aptly named, Feral Heat Collection; published through Changeling Press. However, the story is still a favorite of mine with it’s over the top eroticism and masterfully crafted paranormal plot. Ms. Savage aims to pleasure her readers for sure! The story line is believable, as well as enthralling and oh so stimulating; throwing readers into the rightful abyss of escapism.
Held captive inside Victor’s mansion, Ali is subjected to all forms of erotic torture; hands everywhere…but belonging to whom…definitely not Victor’s hands. Man’s hands, women’s hands, pinching, teasing, brushing, stroking – performing acts that ignite every sensual nerve. Yet, Ali won’t give in to Victor’s demand, to call him Master. But being seduced so skillfully, even with champagne, and then never achieving full satisfaction may prove her undoing.
Ms. Savage creates beautiful, earthy, though complex, characters who help form a genuine world, as they maintain its vigorous sexually charged energy and high action pace. Whether Emma and Ali…Victor and Ali…or Ali and whomever, the libidinous congresses arouse the reader. Amid the carnal dalliances the exploits continue without rest. In Victor’s home only a week, Ali has wreaked all kinds of havoc - by knocking out guards, smashing windows - in order to escape. Still Victor believes Ali is a good person and the calm and order of his hedonistic lifestyle can turn Ali into the person she was meant to be. His belief is so strong he uncharacteristically shirks duty in bringing her before the pack elders. To appease them Victor negotiates a deal; rehabilitate Ali fully or execute her.
Can his lust…or is it love…withstand the emotional and physical roller coaster set before him? Will she be his fall from grace with the pack? Or will she finally submit and adopt his hedonistic ways that advocate honor, respect and more importantly trust.
Like the primary characters, Ms Savage develops rich, interesting, and just as multifaceted, secondary characters too who sustain the plot as well as the main cast. Emma’s a calm, gentle woman who defers to Ali’s assertive, hostile demeanor. As she sooths Ali’s frayed psyche she ignites an unfamiliar passion within the mercenary. Their union is just as hot and stimulating, but Ali seems to be more at ease in trusting Emma, then with Victor.
However, its Emma’s insightfulness about her Master, Victor does she shine; also revealing her possessive love for the man. Ali is enlightened to the man’s strengths; his loving kindness towards every one in his keeping, and who possesses a soft touch that exudes both strength and firmness. For everyone within Victor’s mansion gives him credit in saving them from a life of chaos and strife. The adoring accolades of gentleness and unconditional love don’t fit the image of a ruthless law enforcer aka bounty hunter and executioner, who faces daily the harsh realities of pack life.
Great read! Again complex characters breathe life into this engaging, thrilling paranormal story. Having owned this ebook since its first publication, I am always certain it will curb my craving for wolfie erotica. As mentioned before Feral Heat Collection is its current title through Changeling Press, and still the hottest erotic book in this reader’s collection.
