Del Fantasma: A Slow Fuzzy Screw
Author: Sharon Maria Bidwell
Shayne was lonely. He had heard good things about Del Fantasma, some he could believe, some he couldn't. He believed some people were great matchmakers, Cody Warren, bartender and reputed owner was said to possess such skills, and Shayne hoed that part was true. He did not, however, believe in shapeshifters, vampires, or ghosts, who were also said to frequent the cozy, popular, and off-beat bar. Rumours about Cody himself, claimed he was a vampire, a former soldier in Afghanistan, and any number of other things that Shayne chose to ignore as well. He wanted to find a one-night stand, one that would serve to keep him warm on those cold lonely nights when he returned home. He had it with trying for any kind of relationship, he didn't mind having a dominant partner, but jealousy he could do without. His last relationship was filled with such abuse, that Shayne was giving up on the idea of permanence.
Before him stood a prime speciman, a tall, amber-eyed god that filled Shayne with confusion. Of course so did Cody's referral to a Slow Fuzzy Screw, yet the drink he served Shayne was really not that bad. He could get used to it, but he was wondering about the man beside him. When they were inside, the atmosphere was tense, but outside, both seemed more relaxed, at one with the night and its calming darkness. The thought of the man, Leon rushed through Shayne's head, accompanyied by the bounding image of a large lion. Cat was stamped on Leon's features, a broad forehead, chisled but square jaw, the honey-coloured hair and the glowing amber eyes led to the impression. This was a totally dominant male, but a man Shayne felt he could spend his life with and not be hurt. Whoa...where the heck did those thoughts come from?
Leon did his best to ignore Cody's summons to the bar, but he realized he should at least go see what the man had to offer. He had asked Cody to find him a companion, a lover, someone to ease his days and nights, a friend to share his life. His loneliness knew no bounds, and yet Cody had drawn him to a human! What was he thinking? Did he actually think this human could help him, be what he wanted and needed? And it was a male at that! The male to male couplilng was not unknown to the Panthera, but Leon never saw himself in that particular light. He was all male, looking for another male as a lover wasn't exactly what he had in mind. As he approached the subject, he realized he hadn't specified gender, and if Cody's reputation was to remain solid, there must be something here, so he better pay attention.
The human, Shayne, puzzled Leon, and as he watched his reactions, he realized the man wias sensitive to the differences, he notinced things, and he could actually smell Leon's scent. Shy, yes. But the slight human had a sense of determination about him, an aura of desire for something Leon couldn't quite place. There was certainly fear, but also excitement, trepidation joined with want, and the resulting confusion amused Leon in a whole new way. Oh yes, maybe Cody really did know what he was doing when he called hom over to meet Shayne, because this human intrigued him. Shayne asked the most amusing questions, posed the most intelligent theories, and even though he was uneasy, was still a bright and intelligent companion. Leon could share his life with him even if Shayne didn't quite believe...
Sharon Maria Bidwell takes us into the life of a lion shifter named Leon, a man of wealth, and a man who is definitely lonely. He went to Cody and asked for help, requested he find him a companion to ease the loneliness he endures. The lovers he has had are ok, but he wants something more permanent. The thought of a male never entered his mind until Cody introduces Shayne. Now all bets are off, and Leon faces a change in his own ideas. This is not at all what Shayne had in mind, this was standing somewhere just left of center, just out of his comfort range. The man was attractive enough, he was also very large, and he screamed dominance. His reassurances helped, especially when Shayne realized he was being truthful when he promised he wouldn't hurt him.
Once again Cody's instincts guide him to the proper match, but if you want to find out exactly how it all comes about, you will have to go to Aspen Mountain Press and get a copy of Del Fantasma: A Slow Fuzzy Screw and read this delightful and entertaining tale about Leon and Shayne for yourselves. You will be quite happy with the story, and the series, so please Enjoy!
Del Fantasma: Undertow
Author: J.M. Snyder
The Del Fantasma, an ocean-side bar, was the last place Derek wanted to be, bars were not what his kind needed. they were susceptible to the pull of easy liquor, the addiction to alcohol. This, however, is where he was to meet the person who claimed to have what he lost. There was only one thing Derek knew for certain. His life stunk. It was wonderful living as a human, as long as he had love, but that was lost four long months ago. That was the turning point, when a boating accident claimed the life of the only being he ever loved. Tad Archer, artist, lover, friend, and so much more had been swept overboard. Now, he was gone leaving Derek an empty shell, no longer really interested in life. The mysterious calls he had been receiving meant nothing to Derek because the only thing he lost was Tad, but there he was, heading to the beach and the bar, and the confrontation with someone who claims to have found something Derek lost. Something, most likely hope, drives him on, and even though reluctant, he can’t understand why such a force pulls him. He arrives at the bar only to be met with a strange drink called an Undertow, and a vague sense of something not being right. The bartender told him the drink was bought for him by a friend, and as he heads in the direction the bartender directs, Derek is shocked to find his childhood friend, Kellen. The last person he would think to see here on dry ground of all places, the last person he wanted to see.
Kellen was definitely out of his element, but he would do almost anything to get to Dere. He was not only fascinated by him, but obsessed with him since he was a gup. He remembered Dere as a daring soul, a rebellious youth, and an extraordinary lover. He didn’t want to lose him as a lover, but Dere made the choice to live on land. As Kellen watched, he saw Dere fall for a human, saw true love draw him ever closer to the land and farther from the sea. He was going the way of many merrow. Male and female were choosing to live with the humans they loved on the land. Kellen hated that choice, and hated Dere for making it too. He would and had done everything in his power to sway Dere back to the pod, back to their home in the sea, but it had all failed. Now, he had one final gambit, one final try at winning his love back. He holds several secrets, one of which he is sure Dere will do anything to get from him, anything might even include loving Kellen like he loves his human, Tad Archer. Yes, for that one chance, he is desperate, and it all comes down to whether or not Dere believes him, whether or not he can pull this off, and if he does, he may have his lover back. For Kellen knows Tad survives, and only Kellen can lead Dere to where Tad is trapped, and with luck, in turn he can entrap Dere.
J. M. Snyder writes a novel of unparalleled eroticism. In all her stories, the men are strong, the love all-encompassing, and yet each has its own twist, its own turns, and its own variations on a theme. For Dere, former merrow, and now a land dweller, there is nothing to hold him to the sea. In all his growing up, through out his youth, he enjoyed the watery world, but when he stumbled on the young artist, tad Archer, his course was set. Love found him, and happiness followed. Now, in a storm at sea, he appeared to have lost it all. Tad was swept overboard, and is lost, not even a body was found for Dere, known as Derek in the human world, to bury.
Dere is faced with a choice, give in to Kellen’s demands for love, sex, and a relationship for however brief a period, and maybe get Tad back, or forget the whole thing, and try to forget about Tad as well. With choices like that, there is no assurance of winning, but choices and chances are the things legends are made from. Now Derek has a choice to make, and it is boiled down to one of simple belief and trust. Can he believe Kellen, can he trust his former friend, one who has clearly shown his jealousy? I know you will enjoy, Del Fantasma: Undertow, so get a copy at Aspen Mountain Press today. A word of caution, not everyone enjoys the homoerotic novels, and if you are not so inclined, then you will definitely not enjoy reading this particular author. For the rest of you, Enjoy!!!
Del Fantasma: Winter Break
Author: Dawn Montgomery
Cody Warren runs a bar declared as neutral territory. He expects his patrons to respect the neutrality, but if there are any troublemakers, he is more than ready to handle the problem. Few challenge him, no one dares his wrath. He is able to handle things perfectly well, and has earned his fearsome reputation, and has a marked tendency, and has also earned a solid reputation in successful matchmaking for both his paranormal and human patrons. But then, that IS why Nicollete Snow was dropped off at Del Fantasma. She just doesn't know it. She is an adult toy tech, but as satisfying as the toys are, she wants and really needs some real up close and personal contact. Unfortunately, there is none available to her where she comes from. She needs a vacation, but the ultra hot weather in Point Loma has her almost begging for cool, and she wonders why she is here. Nicolette needs to find the winter magic, and yet it has escaped her time and time again. Her dreams have been of nightmare proportions, and lately she has not been herself. Why she was brought here, to Point Loma and Del Fantasma was unknown, but after seeing what the place had to offer, she decided to give it a try. Of course when she heard the rumble of a cycle, and felt the winter magic tingle on her skin, her hopes raised quite a bit. The magic swirling in the air was that of a tall, blonde, blue-eyed biker who wielded frost, and for Nicollete, he just could be the answer to her dreams...
He was bold and cold, and had bad that ran bone deep, and Jack knew it. He wore his coldness like armor, sensuality like a cloak, and his eyes flahed icy fire when he was confronted. He was also tired of his life, wanted to get a way and find something he could call his own. He didn't know what led him here, to the strange bar called Del Fantasma, and didn't care. As he glided his bike into the lot, he was looking for trouble if nothing else, but soon as he got inside, he ran into Cody Warren, and had to acknowledge the man. There was something about him Jack recognised, maybe it was a kindred spirit, maybe it was his authority, or maybe just the respect due one of one of his power. It only took a few words, but Jack recognised an equal, and he had to show that respect to the other man and his territory. He was stymied when Cody served him a drink called a Winter Break, and served the same to the beauty sitting by his side. What he wasn't expecting was the bold move by a sexy brunette, the challenge to the woman, and her answer. Jack had never been fought over in any sense of the work, and never by two such creatures. The one was letting nothing to the imagination, but the other snagged his attention just by her actions alone...
