Another reason presents itself quickly enough. One day at the bookstore, Talia is overcome by a sense of malevolence and evil so powerful it knocks her to the ground. That night, Cassidy goes missing from her “date” at the club. Feeling her friend’s fear, rage, and helplessness, she knows Cassidy is alive in the city somewhere, and since no one believes in her abilities, she’ll have to find her friend herself before it is too late.
Finn refuses to watch Talia put herself out in the club scene as bait for the serial abductor, but he has no choice. Determined to protect her, even from herself, he watches over her. Will they find a way to save Cassidy, and learn to trust enough to save themselves?
