The friends once there have long gone, and so life moves in excruciating slow and dismal circles until she meets James.
Friendship blossoms for her, and as she gets to know the man she knows as “James,” her life takes on new meaning. She explores the past with him, going into her love for her husband, the feelings she has now concerning his situation, and how much she misses the closeness. Her heart and soul laid bare, she tells him of her wants, desires, and in turn, she learns of his. They talk of exciting places she wishes she could go, things she wants to see, and beneath it all, she begins to wish she could go there and do things with him. As time passes, she learns of the man who has befriended her, and they talk intimately of love, sex, and other more personal topics. James tells her on his interest in bondage, the ideas of sexual slavery, and she is intrigued. Together they learn, study, and share what they have found, and when they decide to do some cyber play, Annie falls right in line, right in to character. The ideas they share let him know she is proud, independent, and very sad and lonely because of her husband’s illness. The understanding between them allows him to suggest they meet, and much to both their surprise, she agrees. Since he is able to travel, he arranges to meet her, and as they talk, reinforce the internet bonds, and forge some new ones, he takes her home to the house his friend has lent, and there James discovers the bond he shares with Annie is one much stronger and more frightening than he could ever expect…
Lee Rush has given us a story of bondage and domination, in Bound by Fate, that is a rare treat. Drawn together my mutual losses and feelings, Annie and James begin a cyber friendship which turns into much more than mere surface feelings. Slowly and inexorably the haze of loneliness lifts from Annie’s heart as she and James begin to explore the world of cyberspace, of new online friendship, and then slowly move beyond into realms of fantasy and BDSM that both are eager to explore. Each aware of the past and current conditions, they meet and find themselves in a situation of mutual fulfillment. Never has Annie thought she could be happy and satisfied as such a slave, and James has never thought to find such a willing participant as Annie.
