Once Julianne has managed to get everything underwater back into working order she resurfaces only to find that her boat has vanished and the Lighthouse is being assembled.
Julianne doesn’t know how to act after her boat comes up missing. She was only under water for a small length of time and now everything has changed like the snap of a finger. The Lighthouse is no longer in ruins and she is no longer in her world. After making the acquaintance of Pharaoh Ptolemy II she finds him to be quite tantalizing as she feels an instant attraction. When she is faced with being put to death for being a bad sign or enslaving her, Julianne is really not happy with the sudden mishap in neither her life nor either one of the decisionsPharaoh Ptolemy II lives in a palace where he has servants and even eleven women in his bedchamber waiting for his arrival but he wishes to be out of the palace clearing his mind, so that is exactly what he does. He hates to hear talk of war and once more that is all his counselors speak. He has been groomed to lead in battles, in war, but he searches for something else. One would think he would wish to be with the women in his harem but not Ptolemy, he would rather be anyplace else. For now he needs some tranquility and complete silence but what he finds when he leaves the palace is Julianne.
Ptol is so tired of the bloodshed and everything that happens in his palace. When he sees Julianne and ends up chasing after her, some of his counselors believe she is a bad omen. He doesn’t need any bad luck during this time. He already feels trapped in a confusing world. But after capturing Julianne he decides to enslave her to keep her safe and also closer to him. He finds her quite captivating and would love to have only one woman like her in his life.
Julianne begins to question her judgment when she surfaces from the water. She went down for one quick dive and after resurfacing she views the Lighthouse of Alexandria under construction. That’s impossible when the ruins are underwater. There is only one thing left to do, go ashore and explore but once she arrives she is captured by one sexy man. She learns that she is not even in her time period anymore and this man they call Ptolemy not only has chosen to enslave her but has captured her heart. Ptol is smitten with Julianne. She is like no woman he has ever met. All his life he has felt like he is trapped in world that he is not part of and all he has desired is for one person to love him. He has grown tired of wars and his life in the palace. With Julianne he feels he has met the one woman that could love him for who he is and nothing more. Julianne feels she has found her soul mate with Ptol and now she must decide if she wishes to stay with him or find a way to return home. Amorous Passageways - The Lighthouse of Alexandria Firelight is a story that immediately hooks the reader from the first start. The story lends a vivid description to the area making the reader feel as if in the center of the whole story. Julianne and Ptolemy light up the pages with intense passion.
