Hi . Thank you for doing this interview. I would like to welcome you to the Romance at Heart Interview and Author Grilling session. *bg* We are interested to find out as much about you as we possibly can, so lets get started...

- Please tell us about your latest book.

My latest book is the 3rd book in my Kendrian vampire series A Taste For Control. This book is all about the hero and heroine learning to let go of their tightly held emotional control in order to learn the secrets of their past and how that past ties them together in the present and the future. - What can we expect from you in the future?

I’m currently working on Ty’s Temptation. This book is a follow up to Harm’s Hunger…so I guess it’s Bad in Boots Book 1 ½ . LOL!

- How do we find out about you and your books?

I have a website at www.patricemichelle.net where I have all of my books listed. Excerpts, reader’s comments, reviews and awards are also listed.

- Do your fans' comments and letters influence you in any way?

Sure they do! I love getting reader email. It's a great feeling to know my books make people happy.

- Where do your ideas come from?

My ideas come from everywhere: life’s experiences, a book, a movie, a song. I especially find music very inspiring.

- How long have you been writing - have you always wanted to be a writer?

I’ve been writing seriously for four years. Well, when I was young I told my mom, “One day I’m going to be an author.” So I guess I’ve felt that way ever since I was a teenager.

- How many books have you written, how many have been published?

I’ve written ten books and ten books are published.

- Among your own books, have you a favorite book? Favorite hero or heroine?

A Taste For Control is my favorite book because it’s the longest book I’ve written to date. I went even further into the characterization in that book.

- Which comes first, the story, the characters or the setting?

The characters and a three line idea of the story.

- What are the elements of a great romance for you?

A great romance is…a story that grabs me in the gut, makes me fall in love with the hero, wish I was the heroine and cheer for the hero and heroine to finally get together. A great romance is story that stays with me long after I’ve read the happy-ever-after ending.

- Are there any words of encouragement for unpublished writers?

Never give up, no matter how discouraged you are. Always believe in yourself as a writer…believing in yourself and your capabilities is half the battle.
