Interview with Morag McKendrick Pippin:
Hello Morag, and welcome to Romance at Heart. As I understand it, you are a brand new author in the Dorchester Publishing Company’s stable of fine authors. I would welcome you there as well. We are always looking for new and exciting authors to read, and that you were chosen by Dorchester speaks volumes for your untapped talent. I understand that the title of your first book is BLOOD MOON OVER BENGAL, and it is a romantic suspense.
I would like to welcome you to the Romance at Heart Interview and Author Grilling session. *bg* We are interested to find out as much about you as we possibly can, so lets get started...
- Please tell us about your first book.
This is the planned back copy blurb ~
Free-spirited and ultra-modern Elizabeth Mainwarring returned to the sultry, spice-scented land of her birth for one last go at mending the breach with her long-estranged sire. She met Major Covington-Singh, a prince and an officer in her father’s regiment. The man was tall, dark, and utterly irresistible.
Yet there was peril in desiring him. He warned her against falling for a wog, a blacky-white, an Anglo-Indian. It might be modern times in England, but not in India. Even for the son of a duke and a maharaja. Why, even Elizabeth’s father would disapprove! And then there were the recent happenings: the murders, the cruel strangling of those who were indiscreet.

Always. I value his opinion above all.
- Who, if anyone, has influenced your writing?
Barbara Erskine, Diana Gabaldon, and Daphne du Maurier.

Setting, story, characters.
- What is the hardest part of writing/the easiest?
Beginnings and endings are the easiest. The middle is the hardest.
- Have you experienced writer's block---> If so, how did you work through it?
Sometimes not feeling like writing can be confused with writers block. If don't 'feel' like writing I work through it ~ and sometimes do my best stuff. If it is truly writers block, it means I must re-charge my batteries. I take a few days off and do things for me: read - lots:-), go to a movie, shopping, the beach (hey, I just moved Hawaii, I have to take advantage of it!), or clean house. At the end of 3-4 days don't get between me and the keyboard!
Morag, I want to thank you for taking the time to talk with us, and hopefully we well get to see you soon in the chat room. Personally, I am looking forward to seeing Blood Moon Over Bengal in the stores. October is here, and it should out now. I really appreciate this interruption to your busy schedule as well. Good Luck, and we will be looking forward to the next delightful creation from your talented Imagination!?
Yours in good reading,
Rose!
