Interview with Francine Craft:

Hi Francine. Thank you for doing this interview. I would like to welcome you to the Romance at Heart Interview and Author Grilling session. *bg* We are interested to find out as much about you as we possibly can, so lets get started...

- Please tell us about your latest book.

My latest book is IF LOVE IS GOOD TO ME.    It is the story of a Minden, Maryland woman, Dosha Steele, who goes to Spain's Puerto de la Cruz to escape a bad romance and finds love with the son of a WWII Brown Baby, Christian Montero.  They soon fall deeply in love and begin an idyllic marriage, but from the beginning they are beset for misfortune.  Christian's grandmother is a fortuneteller and her Tarot cards show lies and betrayals, dissonance and death in their future.  But there is also profound happiness.

- What can we expect from you in the future?

In March '07, THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEL comes out.  This is Dosha's twin's story and it is a story of the musical world -- country, R&B, church.  I laughingly say don't miss it, but then I say don't miss any of my stories.

- How do we find out about you and your books?

First, go to my website, www.francinecraft.com  then Harlequin, my publisher has plenty of material.  They have a delightful website, www.eharlequin.com.  Books may be ordered from that site, mine and others.

- How may readers contact you?

hol718@aol.com

- How many readers/fans contact you?

A great many!  I don't keep count and I answer promptly.  I've heard from some readers for a long time, a few from the beginning of my romance fiction.

- Do your fans' comments and letters influence you in any way?

To some extent; if a lot of fans don't like something, I stay away from it. But that almost never happens.

- Do you have a favorite comment or question from a reader?

Every time a reader praises my books, it's a favorite

- Why did you decide to write romance novels?

From the time I was a teenager I've liked romance literature.  I read fairy tales from age 3 to then.  I'm still hung up on the older precious ones like Rebecca and Nine Coaches Waiting.  There is something so affecting to me about romance.  The world would be a much colder place without it.

- How much of your personality and life experiences are in your writing?

A lot of me and my personality and my life experiences are in my writing.  I tend to identify strongly with my protagonist and the men in my book are based on men I've loved and admired.

Thank you very much for taking the time with us and answering our questions. I really appreciate this interruption to your busy schedule. Good Luck, and we will be looking forward to the next delightful creation from your talented imagination!

Yours in good reading,
Rose!
