Interview with Caitlyn Willows:

Hi Caitlyn. Thank you for doing this interview. I would like to welcome you to the Romance at Heart Interview and Author Grilling session. *bg* We are interested to find out as much about you as we possibly can, so lets get started...

- Please tell us about your latest book.

In Undercover Lover, my erotic romantic suspense, Tony and Blythe have been dancing around each other for six months. He doesn’t want to get involved with anyone while he’s undercover. She wants a man with ambition and goals and doesn’t think Tony’s got those. But their wants get the best of them, Tony reveals his undercover assignment to Blythe, and the two quickly realize they are very evenly matched—in bed and out of it. They make one heck of a team.

- How do we find out about you and your books?

The best way is through my websites: www.caitlynwillows.com and www.catherinesnodgrass.com. I also have a free monthly newsletter that keeps subscribers up to date. Anyone interested in joining can do so by sending a blank email to CatherineSnodgrassNewsletter-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.

- How may readers contact you?

There is an email link on my website for Caitlyn Willows and Catherine Snodgrass. My email addresses are Caitlyn@catherinesnodgrass.com or Catherine@catherinesnodgrass.com.

- Why did you decide to write romance novels?

Is it fair to say I didn’t pick it, it picked me? I write what I enjoy reading.

- Generally, how long does it take you to write a book?

There is no set time frame. Sometimes stories will pour out, sometimes they are squeezed out a word at a time. For a full length novel, it has taken anywhere from 4 to 18 months from start to end. Short stories and novellas can taken anywhere from 1 to 30 days. Naturally, I prefer it when it’s done quickly. But one can’t force one’s muse.

- What do you do to relax and recharge your batteries?

I might read or veg out in front of the TV. I enjoy doing cross stitch, embroidery, and crocheting. Rarely I might take a play day and go shopping. I say rarely because I really don’t like shopping.

- What does your husband think of your writing?

My husband, family, and friends are proud and very supportive of my writing. Some of them have never read a word, but they are behind me 100%. My non-writing friends help keep me grounded.

- Do you have a favorite author? Favorite book?

My favorite book of all time is ZEMINDAR by Valerie Fitzgerald. I love this book. I’ve only met one other person who is familiar with it

- Who are some of your favorite authors?

I’m always afraid I’ll get in trouble with this answer, but my auto-buy/must-reads are: Linda Howard, Cathy Maxwell, Meryl Sawyer, Lorraine Heath, Pamela Morsi, Debra Tash, Patricia Rasey, Lacey Savage...to name a few.

- How long have you been writing - have you always wanted to be a writer?

I’m not one of those author who has “always wanted to be a writer”. In fact, I used to hate it. This is just something that happened for me, a new path, a new door opening for me to walk through.

- How many books have you written, how many have been published?

I have written and had published over 40 books, short stories, and novellas.

Thank you very much Caitlyn for taking the time with us and answering our questions. I really appreciate this interruption to your busy schedule. Good Luck, and we will be looking forward to the next delightful creation from your talented imagination!

Yours in good reading,
Rose!
