Interview with Author and Advice Columnist Thabet Hassan:

Hi Mr. Hassan. Thank you for doing this interview. I would like to welcome you to the Romance at Heart Special Interview. We have a great interest in many things, and would love to hear about your books, ideas, and whatever else you would share with us. *bg* We are interested to find out as much about you as we possibly can, so lets get started...


RMB: I understand you have a new book out. would you please tell us about this latest offering?

TH: It is titled “The Long Journey to Happiness” It has two parts, the first part deals with the definition and means of achieving happiness and the second part is a fictionalized true story.

RMB: What can we expect from you in the future?

TH: To be an active participant in helping my fellow human beings.

RMB: How do we find out about you and your books?

TH: Search the Internet for my name: Sava Hassan

RMB: Why do readers contact you?

TH: Most of my readers are a selective group of intellectuals who are in a profound search for the truth about every aspect of life.

RMB: How many readers/fans contact you?

TH: I have few fans.

RMB: Do your contact's comments and letters influence you in any way?

TH: I am an eternal learner who is in continuous search of the acquisition of knowledge. I learn from my readers and I hope that they can learn from me.

RMB: Do you have a favorite comment or question from a reader?

TH: Do your writings, especially poetry reflect actual experiences?

RMB: Why did you decide to write romance novels?

TH: I didn’t write romance novels yet despite the continuous demand from my readers to do so.

RMB: How much of your personality and life experiences are in your writing?

TH: My writing is a true reflection of who I am.

RMB: Generally, how long does it take you to write a book?

TH: That would depend upon the author in question. I write from my heart which makes my writing an irregular event.

RMB: What do you do to relax and recharge your batteries?

TH: I listen to music.

RMB: What truly motivates you in general and in your writing?

TH: Being a witness to the agony or suffering of others or seeing a miracle unfold in front of my eyes.

RMB: Where do your ideas come from?

TH: From my own as well as others’ experiences

RMB: Do you feel humor is important in women's fiction and why?

TH: Laughter is the key to relaxing a reader. Consequently, sense of humor is essential in women’s fiction.

RMB: What kind of research do you do?

TH: Observe interactions and interact with real people.

RMB: Would you like to write a different genre than you do now, or sub-genre?

TH: That is a possibility

RMB: Please tell us a bit about yourself (family, hobbies, education, etc.):

TH: Bachelor in Engineering, two certificates in computer programming and analysis, writing, walking, two wonderful children.

RMB: What are some of your favorite things to do?

TH: Watching a movie while cuddling with my lady

RMB: Do you have a favorite author? Favorite book?

TH: All authors are my favorite and I have no favorite book

RMB: Where do you see yourself in five years?

TH: Probably retired and focused on writing

RMB: How long have you been writing - have you always wanted to be a writer?

TH: Since my childhood

RMB: How many books have you written, how many have been published?

TH: Written 4 published 3

RMB: What is the most rewarding thing about being a writer?

TH: The feel of fulfillment that comes from helping others

RMB: If you weren't writing, what would you be doing?

TH: I am an excellent educator who loves to spread the wings of his knowledge among others
