My favorite non-romance books are mostly murder mystery and police procedurals.

My favorite writers of the murder mystery are Anne Perry (her characters are from the
Victorian era), Agatha Christie and Dick Francis (he was a former jockey for Queen Mother
years ago and all of his books contains horses and scenes of horse racing).

Stanley Earl Gardner wrote Perry Mason series and since the old TV show did not contain
closed captions, I enjoy reading his books.

As for police procedurals, my favorite author is Elizabeth Linington who also had other pen
names which are Dell Shannon and Leslie Egan. Under each name and pen name, she
wrote a series...each series containing at least 20 books. She could have continued
to write, but unfortunately, she passed away.

Nevil Shute also wrote great stories. He was from Australia and served in RAF (Royal Air Force).

I also like reading Pearl Buck's stories and Merced Lackey's Valdemar series (Fantasy).

I am pleased to say that I have most of their books in my collection. Aside these books, I have
many books written by romance authors and I have quite a collection, too! That is why I need
another room in my house!

Any other bookworms like me out there who are willing to share their favorites?

Those sound like good books Dee...I prefer mysteries of course and my favorite is always Horror...hehehe the bloodier the better.

I have found myself reading some true crime ones by Tom Henderson. They are true crime novels that take place here in Michigan. I've always found it interesting to read about things that happen in your own state. Even though, I think I've only read 2 or 3 true crime novels.

You hand me some good horror stories and scary stories, and I'm there!
