Meet:
Tracy L. Ranson |
I was born and raised in Kentucky were I still live in the rolling green hills that will always be my beloved home. I reside in a small house just a hop, skip and a jump from Cincinnati, Ohio. Married to the man of my dreams, I live a quiet life with him as well as our dog and three cats (believe me, that isn't quiet! The cats are always playing, giving the dog some 'catitude'.) They actually just tolerate us. As the old saying goes: Dogs have masters; cats have staff. I started writing about nine years ago. It's wasn't bad, it sucked! Through time and perseverence, I learned to hone my craft through a splendid group of critique partners, namely, Jaycee Clark, Sydney Somers, Phyllis Campbell, Gail Delaney, as well as a host of others. You know who you are. *grin*. My first publication, Bride Of The Overlord, was published in 2000 by Sirius Publication. After that, I worked harder to make my stories better, thus winning me a contract with NewConcepts Publishing. My first book with them, The Conqueror, was given critical acclaim by many and up for awards. Other books followed bringing me to the point I'm at now. There were a lot of times were I wanted to give up so badly but if it wasn't for my best friend, Dorothy. Aside from being best friends, we're closer than sisters, she being the only human being on the planet to know me inside and out. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be where I'm at today. She was the only one who ever truly believed in me. In short, I put a lot of myself in my work, not only in emotion but characteristics as well, including those around me. You only need to look into my immediate circles to know who the real heros and heroines are. Sincerely, Tracy L. Ranson Some favourite books/authors: Her Newest Releases!
