Meet: Nancy Pirri |
I started writing nine years ago while raising four children. Some moms escape domesticity and child-rearing by locking themselves in the bathroom, but I found peace and solitude in my basement office. Our children are in their teens and twenties now and I thank them profusely for growing up! My husband of thirty years, Steven, has been supportive of my writing and wishes me every success so that he may retire from his day job. Born and raised in Minnesota I have been a member of Romance Writers of America and the local chapter, Midwest Fiction Writers, for nine years. I am also one of the founders of a new RWA chapter in Minnesota, the second in the state, Northern Lights Writers. My debut historical romance, The MacAulay Bride, is set in late 19th century Scotland. The second novel, Bait Shop Blues, is a contemporary romance. My latest contemporary romance is Rough Edges published in electronic formats and soon available in paperback. I have also, become a member of an author-promo organization called Jewels of the Quill and have adapted the 'jewel' name, Dame Sapphire. Visit my website at www.nancypirri.com.
