Meet:

Marjorie N. Allen

Marjorie N Allen is a free-lance writer/editor, who has been in the business for about 30 years. After having four children’s books published, she decided she needed further education and applied and was accepted as an Ada Comstock Scholar at Smith College in Northampton, MA. It’s a program for nontraditional students, and Marjorie graduated with a major in East Asian Studies and a minor in Writing after her first grandchild was born.

One more picture book (Reading Rainbow) and two reference books about children’s books later, she decided to try novel writing in her favorite area, romantic suspense. Her first novel, Mosaic, was the result and will be published as an e-book by Romance at Heart Publishers in the spring. She has a second book completed and is working on a third.

Marjorie and her husband, David, a retired teacher, spend most of the year on the Baja Peninsula at El Dorado Ranch (San Felipe), the setting of Mosaic, and part of the year in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts. They have three grown children, four grandchildren, and one unexpected great-granddaughter--who is very bright and will no doubt grow up to be president--all of whom live in Massachusetts.

In addition to writing novels, Marjorie has had several online articles published on a variety of subjects. Check her out at www.pagewise.com/. Also at www.ezinearticles.com/.
