Meet:
Mackenzie McKade |
As an avid mystery reader, my desire to write only surfaced in 2001 when devouring yet another Iris Johansen book. It was then that I had an epiphany. “I can do this. I can write a book.” How hard could it be anyway? I could solve the “who-dun-it” on CSI usually within the first five to fifteen minutes. I was a shoe-in. Yeah. Right. Since I only read mysteries, I was floored when I accidentally picked up Christine Feehan’s Dark Fire, a paranormal romance. I didn’t read romance—wouldn’t be caught dead reading that stuff. After turning a few pages, I was hooked. A local bookstore recommended that I join RWA and in March 2002 I did. My first book was a paranormal mystery, the next two historical romances of which still remain tucked away in some dark corner of my computer waiting for me to rewrite some day. My favorite genre is historical romance. So why do I write erotic romance? Because it’s hot! Yes, I mean in the industry and sensually. I have never laughed or blushed so much in my life. It’s freeing and allows me to push the envelope. Not to mention fantasize about big, strong hunks. And of course, I’m always the young, beautiful and, yes, slender heroine. A native of Arizona I live with my husband of twenty-one years. We have three beautiful daughters and one wickedly handsome grandson. I have a bachelors of science in business. And there isn’t anything I’d rather do then write. As writing is a passion with many—it’s an obsession with me. Who knew that the wild things going on in my head someone would actually read? But I’m thankful you do and I hope you find joy and entertainment in my sometimes—okay most of the time—risqué ramblings. Sincerely, Mackenzie McKade Some of my best loved books are: The Ugly Duckling – Iris Johansen Dark Series – Christine Feehan The Bastion Club series – Stephanie Laurens And many others too numerous to list Her Newest Releases!
