Karen Wiesner |
I'm a multi-talented and multi-functional writer. No, I'm not bragging. I just have my finger in many pies! I've been known to write mainstream romances, mysteries, inspirationals, romantic suspenses, and every genre in between, including my writing reference called First Draft In 30 Days from Writer's Digest Books Currently, I have many different series' in the works, including my Wounded Warriors Series. Wayward Angels, Book 4, will be released at the end of September. I also have stories in several anthologies, including Tales from the Treasure Trove, Volumes I and II, Small Gifts, and Treasures of the Heart. All are anthologies written with other authors from the writers' group I founded, called Jewels Of The Quill, three years ago. In my writing, many things inspire me: People watching. Listening to people talk. The faces of some people-though maybe not beautiful or perfect-inspire me. Unusual stories. A family had gone on a missionary trip for a week to help build a house for a needy family in Mexico. They shared their experiences at church, and I was instantly captivated. A story I'd had in mind took shape so quickly based on this show and tell, I ended up writing pages and pages of notes on it. As for me? Well, I'm not an adventurer. I'm not an explorer. I'm the typical, reclusive writer that's been stereotyped to death. I'm not ashamed to admit that I prefer to live vicariously through my characters. Too much excitement makes me completely insane.
