Kally Jo Surbeck

I've always appreciated the power of the written and spoken word. Words paint pictures, conjure images. They impart hope, or instill dread. Words are magnificent. That said, I never thought I would end up being a writer. I wanted to be the CEO of a Fortune 500 Company. And yet, life has dealt different cards and I wouldn't change it at all (except for the headaches - those I'd change). Winning the 2005 EPPIE for Action/Adventure was a highlight to my publishing record for For The Love Of. That book also was a DREAM REALM Finalist, and the winner of eCataromance's Reviewer's Choice Award this year. Knowing that my writing reaches readers and somehow impacts their lives, make my day!

I'm actively involved in the industry as well. I've served as vice president for two years. I'm currently the president of Colorado Romance Writers and running for Region 4 Director at Romance Writers of America. I believe in giving back to the loving and supporting community that has helped me so much.
