Hi, I am Dame Tanzanite. I have always been more interested in tomorrow than yesterday. Then I discovered the American past offers a wealth of backgrounds for some of my most offbeat story ideas. Combined with a fascination for the extra-normal, I have written ten books, published or soon-to-be published, in electronic formats and paperback by Hard Shell Word Factory.

Hi, I am Dame Pearl. An electronic pioneer, I am no stranger to more traditional forms of writing. I am a playwright, novelist, and medical writer. I have mysteries featured on the Hard Shell Word Factory website, where I'm also an editor. I was the 1992 President of the Nebraska Writers Guild, and am currently a member of the Mid-America Romance Authors and Romance Authors of the Heartland. My historical play, Prairie and Parlor: The Creighton Story, was produced at a local theater to rave reviews. I was also on the Board of Directors of the historic First Nebraska Literature Festival in 1991 focusing the spotlight on Nebraska writers everywhere.

Carrie S. Masek pulsing jewel

Hi, I am Dame Topaz, and I have been telling stories since I was three. That is when I discovered I got into less trouble when creative explanations for the chaos that swirled around me were provided. Now I live in a comfortably messy house on Chicago's North Shore. Contributing to the chaos are my husband, four children, and a ditzy dog. I have won awards for both short and novel-length fiction. My horror short, "Cybergeist", is in the Mundania Press anthology Beyond the Mundane: Unravelings, the 2005 EPPIE winner for best anthology. My current novel-length release, Twice Damned, is also available now through Mundania Press.

A Favourite Book and/or Author:
The Princess Bride by William Goldman

Hi, I am Dame Obsidan. I have been creating stories since I was very young. I put pen to paper in junior high in the form of angst-filled poetry, angst-filled journals, and angst-filled short stories. I worked on her high school and college newspapers because I thought I wanted to be a journalist. After I got my associates degree in liberal arts - otherwise known as the degree of the perpetual student - I ended up majoring in marriage and motherhood whereupon I failed housework, plant care, and staying calm in the face of big owies. *sigh*

A Favourite Book and/or Author:
A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers

Hi, I am Dame Onyx. Marked for life by reading DRACULA at the age of twelve, I have specialized throughout my career in fantasy and the supernatural, especially vampires. Earning degrees in English from the College of William and Mary, the University of Hawaii, and the University of California (Irvine), I wrote my dissertation on the Gothic novel. My first novel was Shadow Of The Beast, available now from Amber Quill Press.

A Favourite Book and/or Author:

Hi, I am Dame Moonstone, and I am a novelist, screenwriter, and writing teacher at University of Wisconsin-Madison. My romantic suspense, Spirit Lake, is an award-winning, best-selling novel available now from Hard Shell Word Factory. My new romantic suspense novels, Nesting Instincts, Treasure at Jump Creek, and a new Jump Creek mystery series are represented by 3 Seas Literary Agency. My manuscripts have earned national awards in contests sponsored by Romance Writers of America. In the film world, I co-authored with Peggy Williams and Bob Shill a true-story film script "Chinaware-Fragile," which is a past winner of the Slamdance Film Festival writing contest and is currently under option to New Line Cinema.

Barbara Raffin pulsing jewel

Hi, I am Dame Jade. I am also an obsessive writer who'd rather write than breathe. I wrote my first novel at age twelve in retaliation to the lack of female leads in the adventure stories I loved reading. But it was the love of playing with words, exploring the human psyche, and telling stories that kept me writing. I am the author of paranormal, contemporary, and historical romances which all have one thing in common: suspense. I live on the Wisconsin-Michigan border with my Keeshond dog Copy, as in copyright, and my avid outdoorsman husband who has always supported my love affair with reading and writing.

A Favourite Book and/or Author:
Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series is easily one of my favorites.

Cassie Walder pulsing jewel

Hi, I am Dame Bloodstone, and your basic "Mom-next-door" type, considering myself the last person anyone would imagine as an author of romantica. Yet my vampire/shapeshifter romantica tales from Ellora's Cave have been a lot of fun to write, critically well received, and have sold quite well. My first release from Changeling Press, Once Again Love, is now available.
