Iris Ames |
Iris Ames taught for ten years at three different colleges before retiring into her home studio to write. “I knew that if I didn’t focus on writing full time I would never finish my many book projects!” An avid outdoorswoman, Iris spends the first part of every day out hiking or snowshoeing the trails near her Upstate New York home with her constant companion Tucker (a black lab) before settling down into to her studio to write. With the mountain for inspiration she spends many hours each day working on her books, magazine articles and school programming.
