Meet:
Heather Ames |
Heather Ames juggles writing with running her own small business. While living in Houston, Texas, she took writing classes at the local community college and joined several writers’ organizations. The ground work paid off when she made the semi-finals of Romance Writers of America’s Golden Heart competitions in the Suspense, Long & Short Contemporary categories, and was a finalist in Single Title Release. She also received honorable mention in several Byliners (Texas-based) contests for novel length fiction. She published short fiction and non-fiction articles while living in Texas and Arizona, then produced, wrote, directed and edited two documentaries that aired on NewTV13 while living in Boston, Massachusetts. Her primary interests are romance, mystery and suspense, but she has also completed the first draft of a screenplay for the pre-teen to teen market (living in Los Angeles now, she couldn’t resist trying to write for the industry!) and shares a blog Heather's Blog with a friend and fellow writer from Houston.
