Devin Leigh |
Being born at the end of the month of June makes me an incurable romantic with an avid fascination in all things that deal with history and the past, not to mention a slightly twisted sense of humor and the ability to hoard secrets like a miser hoards gold. Given this illustration, you will maybe understand why I forced this image of Devin out there instead of myself. Being a cancer, we like being in our little shell. Devin can stand in the spotlight. She can take it. I'll just direct her from the sidelines. Another tidbit of information is that I have been writing since the age of eight; my first 'published' work was a school Christmas play at the age of twelve; I wrote stories in high school that circulated around a group of friends until ultimately, in my third year the readership grew until I had a certain infamy and could not enter a classroom without being asked: When is the next story coming? (like those old commercials, I told two friends, and they told two friends and so on and so on...). An underground 'publishing' group began as the readers grew and we began publishing the stories with the school's newspaper equipment to keep everyone happy. I sometimes wonder if anyone still has their copies, a thought which is quickly followed by a shudder of fear. I am also a voracious reader. The written word helps me to escape to other worlds, even if it is only for the length of time it takes to get through a book. I hope that my stories will open doorways and give as much enjoyment to people reading them as I received from writing them. Sincerely, Devin More about Devin Leigh...
