Carolina Valdez

I married my college sweetheart, and we were blessed to raise two wonderful sons here in southern California. For years I had a career outside of writing, but off and on wrote short pieces under the name Dee Ann Palmer that won awards and were published. I retired to complete "Cry of the Bells," a novel I'd begun twenty years earlier. "Dark Stranger," my first venture into sensual writing, was an AmberHeatWave 2004 winner and placed third in The Lories 2005 Best Published Contest, novella division. Earlier I'd tried mystery writing as Dee Ann Palmer with "A Clean, Well Lighted Place," which can be read free at mystericale.com . My mystery "Marathon Madness" has just been accepted for the Sisters in Crime 2006 anthology "LAndmarked for Murder." I'm active in RWA, SinC, MWA, EPIC, and NLAPW.
